Project Description
This is a project for the city of Youngsville, LA.
The Delahoussaye Company was selected by the general contractor J.B. Mouton, LLC to do the finishing of this project.
This is a large-scale project which we are geared to handle.
This project provides us an opportunity to really show our engineering capabilities to our current and future customers.
Our company was responsible to install the metal stud framing, the wall insulation, the interior drywall, and the exterior Dens-Glass sheathing.
Only metal studs were used for this project as using metal studs has so many benefits:
- They do not rot, like wood would overtime.
- They are pest resistant as termites can’t eat it.
- They provide a level of fire safety as they will not burn or catch fire.
- And finally, Metal studs will not bow or warp unlike wood studs would.
Project Specialty Technologies:
Our ¾” stucco system includes the following:
– ¾” cement stucco
– Jumbo Tex – Two-Ply felt paper
– zinc trims
– 3.4 mega lath
– EPS Foam trims/crowns/cornices
– Stolit 1.0 Lotusan acrylic finish coat.
Key features of this ¾” stucco system:
– Jumbo Tex – Two-Ply felt paper is engineered for production and custom residential construction applications requiring a tough water and moisture barrier to provide outstanding protection.
This technology delivers over ten times the water resistance of regular Grade “D” building.
– Stolit Lotusan, the finish coat is the last step of the stucco system.
Stolit Lotusan is a ready-mixed exterior textured finish that mimics the self-cleaning capabilities of the lotus leaf which sends rain drops rolling gently off its leaves.
